Dental Checkups & Teeth Cleanings
Our treatment plans are always custom-designed for each patient, and it all starts with a thorough checkup and cleaning. During these appointments, Dr. Castleberry will take the time to get to know you as well as examine your teeth, gums, jaw, and existing dental work so he can catch issues at their earliest stages. Afterward, one of our hygienists will skillfully remove harmful plaque and tartar deposits from your teeth, targeting those areas that your brush and floss can’t reach at home. We recommend that everyone age one and up should have at least two checkups and cleanings per year.

Periodontal Therapy
Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is the #1 dental problem affecting Americans today. It is a bacterial infection of the gums, roots of the teeth, and the bone that supports them. Early symptoms include red, swollen, and bleeding gums, but it can eventually develop into the leading cause of tooth loss! We screen every patient’s gums who comes through our doors, and if we spot any sign of infection, we will take care of it using the appropriate treatment regimen.

Children’s Dentistry
Ensuring that Louetta’s youngest citizens enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles is one of the most rewarding things we do here at The Castleberry Center. We have the fun and relaxed environment that children need as well as treatments that are specially designed to protect growing smiles. From toddler to teenager, we’re ready to be your child’s dental home. We’ll even help educate your child about proper oral home care to make your job a little easier!
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are how we give the most vulnerable teeth (the ones in the back) a little bit of extra protection from cavities and decay. A plastic-based substance is applied to the teeth in liquid form, and this quickly hardens into an invisible barrier that damaging food particles, acids, and bacteria cannot cross. This treatment is excellent for growing children, and it can also be a big help for adults who are prone to developing decay.
Nightguards for Bruxism
Life can be stressful at times, and for many, that stress manifests itself as nighttime teeth grinding, otherwise known as bruxism. Left untreated, this can wear down the teeth, make them more sensitive, and eventually cause them to break! Fortunately, with a simple oral appliance called a nightguard that’s worn to bed, we can keep patients protected from this sneaky problem. Shaped to fit each individual’s smile, it places a physical barrier between the teeth to prevent any unconscious grinding.
Mouthguards & Sportsguards
Do you regularly participate in sports, or do you have a little athlete at home? Did you know that dental injuries are one of the most common types of sports injuries, no matter an athlete’s age or level of play? We can help keep you comfortable and protected on the field, mat, or court with a custom-made mouthguard. Our mouthguards are specially designed for each patient, ensuring they fit smoothly over the teeth and provide maximum protection from unexpected impacts at the same time.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer rates are currently on the rise here in the U.S., which is why Dr. Castleberry suggests that every adult should have at least one oral cancer screening per year. He always performs one as part of a patient’s regular checkup, as early detection is the key to successful treatment. Should he find anything concerning during your screening, he can quickly arrange for you to get the follow-up treatment that you need.
Fluoride Treatment
You’ll find fluoride in most toothpastes and public water sources, and you’ll find it in our dental office as well! This mineral has long been shown to help strengthen the teeth against decay and cavities, but too many people are missing out on it due to an over reliance on unfluoridated bottled water, leaving their teeth vulnerable. This is why we include a topical fluoride treatment as part of every regular checkup. We’ll simply apply a fluoride solution to your teeth for a few minutes, and that’s it! You’ll have plenty of cavity protection until it’s time to see us again.
