Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are one of the best
cosmetic dentistry services
we have to offer. Patients can enjoy many unique advantages after getting
veneers, including:
Versatility: Porcelain veneers can correct a wide range
of flaws all at once for amazing results.
Customization: Choose the exact size, shape, and shade of
your veneers to achieve your ideal smile.
Beauty: Dental porcelain looks and feels like your
natural teeth, and it even reflects light like the rest of your smile for
unmatched beauty.
Quality: Dental porcelain can last for years to come with
proper care. Plus, it’s relatively stain-resistant, which makes it
harder to discolor your smile in the future.
The Porcelain Veneers Procedure
The process for getting veneers in Harris County will typically just take two visits.
During the first, Dr. Castleberry will prepare your teeth. Typically, a
slight portion of the tooth enamel must be removed to make room for your
veneers. Once this is done, he will take impressions and images of your
teeth, which are sent to a lab for customization. You’ll be given
temporary veneers to maintain your appearance.
Then, after your veneers are fabricated, you’ll come back into our dental
office. Dr. Castleberry will ensure that you’re happy with the results
before permanently bonding the veneers to your teeth. All that’s left
to do is walk out of our dental office with a beautiful and confident smile!
Aftercare for Porcelain Veneers
The best part about porcelain veneers is that they don’t require a
special maintenance routine. However, it’s still important to brush,
floss, and visit our dental office regularly for checkups. Remember, you’ll
still have your natural teeth under your veneers, which can be affected by
decay, cavities, and infection. Also, try to avoid poor lifestyle
habits like tobacco use and heavy consumption of alcohol. By following these
steps, you can enjoy your veneers near Kohrville for many years to come.
Am I a Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
The best way to know if you’re a candidate for this cosmetic treatment
is to come into our dental office for a consultation. Dr. Castleberry will
carefully examine your smile before recommending porcelain veneers. If you
have any preexisting dental problems, these may need to be treated before
starting. However, those who could benefit from veneers will typically have:
Chipped teeth
Cracked teeth
Discolored teeth
Slightly gapped teeth
Slightly crooked teeth
Misshapen teeth

Understanding the Cost of Veneers
You get what you pay for in cosmetic dentistry, and that’s just as much the case for veneers. By making an investment in your smile today, you can ensure you’ll pay less for touch-ups, repairs, and replacements later in life. Your smile can truly look like it belongs on the red carpet in Hollywood, but only if you invest in quality. At The Castleberry Center, Dr. Castleberry is happy to help you determine the best solutions for meeting your goals.
Cost vs. Cosmetic Dentistry: What’s Right for Me?
There are many different types of cosmetic dentistry to consider, not just veneers. While they can be quite effective at giving you the smile of you dreams, it’s worth looking over all your options with Dr. Castleberry directly.
Dental Bonding – One of the cheapest options in cosmetic dentistry is dental bonding. We apply a composite resin to your teeth that’s been color-matched to your existing enamel for the best esthetics possible. However, you will need retreatment every few years or so to maintain results.
Teeth Whitening – Whitening is fast, relatively affordable, and quite effective at removing years of tough stains that store-bought solutions cannot. It will not do anything to address the shape, size, or position of your teeth, however.
Invisalign – To address gaps, crooked teeth, or malocclusions in your bite, Invisalign can help you realign your smile without the use of metal brackets and wires. However, treatment will take several months to complete and can be quite expensive.
Lumineers – If you’d prefer to keep as much of your enamel as possible, Dr. Castleberry can place restorations called Lumineers that are even thinner than traditional veneers. However, they don’t provide the same esthetics or ensure the same longevity.
Veneers – Veneers near Louetta Road may seem expensive at first, but they do address multiple imperfections at a time. This can make them a worthwhile investment when you want to complete a full smile transformation as quickly as possible.
How to Make Veneers Affordable
Veneers are generally not covered by dental insurance, however, there are other options available to you that can make them a more affordable option. In fact, we work with several financing options to help make your treatment possible, including CareCredit, Lending Club, Citi Health Card, Greensky, and United Medical Credit. In these plans, you can enroll into a payment process that lets you finance your treatment over several months in smaller installments. In many cases, you can even expect little to no interest attached to these plans. We are also holding a special specifically on veneers that you’ll want to consider.
If you’d like to learn more about your treatment options, please give us a call. We would love to speak with you one-on-one during a cosmetic consultation to create a plan that fits into your budget.
Veneers FAQs
There are many cosmetic treatments to consider when you want to enhance your smile, but we understand if you have initial reservations about treatments like veneers. The Castleberry Center takes your needs and concerns very seriously, and we’ve included a handful of the most common questions we’ve heard over the years regarding this treatment. If you have other questions for Dr. Castleberry or our team, please let us know during your consultation.
Are Veneers Permanent?
Technically speaking, veneers are not a permanent treatment because eventually they will require replacement. The part of treatment that is permanent is the removal of existing tooth enamel to allow them to sit flush against teeth. The exception to this is if you decide to receive Lumineers, which do not require removal of enamel to place. Keep in mind that once enamel is removed, it’s gone for good. If you choose traditional veneers to cover teeth, you’ll need them to be there at all times going forward. Lumineers, however, are reversible in most cases.
Do Veneers Change Your Face?
Over time, the mouth can lose elasticity and muscle tone. Once veneers are placed, they can provide additional support for the mouth’s musculature and accentuate the cheekbones. This is why the extra support from veneers can not only give your smile a boost, but your overall facial appearance one as well. In some cases, veneers can even provide similar benefits to what you’d get from a facelift but without the surgery. During your consultation, Dr. Castleberry will break down the impact that veneers near Vintage Park can have on your facial shape.
Is There Anyone Who Shouldn’t Get Veneers?
We do not recommend veneers (nor will we place them period) if you already have a cavity or other form of decay on your tooth. This will only allow the problem to grow worse underneath your veneers and make it harder to treat. The same logic applies if you have gum disease, which can interfere with the veneer process. If your gums are bleeding or swollen, impressions won’t work properly and the veneers won’t look right on your teeth. The margin between your veneer and your tooth can also increase if your gums ever recede.
We may also not recommend veneers to those with bruxism until they have it under control. The constant teeth grinding and clenching associated with bruxism can cause the veneers to become worn down or fractured. Studies published on the National Institute of Health website have shown those with bruxism to carry a higher incidence of debonding (or veneers coming off).
How Can I Reduce the Cost of Veneers?
We would start by telling you to only receive as many veneers as you need to improve the appearance of your teeth with visible damage. You likely do not need to cover all visible teeth just to meet your goals. At The Castleberry Center, we partner with several financing companies that make it easier to cover more expensive treatments over a longer period of time. We also provide an in-house special on veneers that you’ll want to consider.
